No Tooth Fairy For Our House....

Halle's tooth finally came out....well, actually I pulled it out.

She is so excited and was so excited about the tooth fairy until she went to bed. She was a little scared when she went down, but came up crying because she was afraid she was going to see the fairy.

David and I just told her it was us who put money under her pillow. Sandy told her she was David's tooth fairy too! She then went to bed with ease.

She said several times this week that she would leave the beach with her tooth out!!

Early Morning Fishing

Halle and Luke are in the same room with their cousins, Savannah and Caroline.  They have been waking up super early due to the excitement of being together and being at the beach.  Oh wait, Luke is always up early.  Levi is in the room with David and and I so David has been getting up with the big kids in the morning in hopes that they do not wake the babies or everyone else in the house for that matter.

David really enjoys fishing at the ocean and at the pier.  He and Stephen took the kids with them to the ocean to fish Saturday morning.  They were in their PJ's:)  I was on a walk with Levi and was able to catch a picture with my phone.

Halle and Savannah are little fish!  They are jumping in off the side, diving for rings, and swimming under water like champs!

David is super tanned!  He already had a farmers tan from golf and delivering so it only took a few days to even himself out.  The boys (David, Stephen, Drew and Colin) all played frisbee on the beach and swam in the ocean for HOURS the other day.  It was fun watching them act like boys.

While enjoying our vacation, I am staying mindful and prayerful of the thousands of people who have recently had their worlds turned upside down by a tornado.

I am praying the Lord will open our hearts, our minds, and our schedules to ways we can serve those who are in need.

Oh My

Look who is pulling up in his bed! Little guy is being a booger:). He is waking up a lot in the night:-/. I guess he is excited about his new skill.

He loves the ocean and the sand! Did I mention we are at OBX?

Clap, clap, clap your precious hands!

I have been trying to get Levi to clap, wave bye-bye, or something for weeks.  He usually just stares and smiles.  Today I clapped for him while he was eating and he clapped back:)  Those of you without kids I know could not care less.  Wow, a baby clapped.  Big deal.

You have this adorable little person who you love more than life itself, and for months all they do is eat, sleep and poop.  You slowly get smiles, giggles and reaches.  Then you get backward bye-bye waves and claps.  The love in your heart for your child is truly like none other.

It is that Christ-like joy.  A small, very small, glimpse of how the Father feels about his children.  I say Christ-like because it is not circumstantial nor is it capable of being tampered with.  I don't think I will ever fully understand His love for me, for us, and I often wonder if we are capable.  Loving my children has 100% broadened what I do understand.

I never expect others to view my children or feel about them the way we do.  It is unexplainable.

The baby feet and the baby hands and the baby cheeks.  Unexplainable.  Love, love, love 'em!!!

I have to admit I am super sad Levi is our last.  It is hard to accept I will never have my own tiny newborn again.  Can definitely go without the sleepless nights!  That being said, I feel confident I will get my baby fix from my sister who is about to have a baby GIRL in October!!

My desires for another child are more emotional desires that logical desires, therefore I have to remain rational and do what is best for my family and my marriage....*tear.

Got Him!!

Halle and I went to Columbus this past weekend for a girls trip with my friends to see my BFF Sarah.

Halle got this spider ring for David. She hid it under his pillow this morning. I forgot about it until he jumped 5 feet getting into bed tonight;). So funny! Halle will be so proud!
