Few Funnies
I have to get these few funny things up before I forget:)
Halle: "Mom, I wish I was a baby again so everyone could hold me."
Halle: "Mom, will you and Daddy be at church in those sitters (aka seats) to watch me and Lukey get married?"
Last night she asked David to go to the "S" park. Well, yesterday we took a back way home to search for Luke's lost balloon and went down a hill/street that is shaped like an S. News to me that she realized that!!
Well, off we go to BSF. I now have the croup virus that the kids had the last few weeks. But, in adults it is a cold (which I do not have) and laryngitis (which I do have). Nice! Although I think everyone in this house is enjoying me being a little quieter. Sorry Pawpaw, I know you wish you were around to witness my "cake hole" being impaired!

Back to Reality..
Today I am adjusting to life with children again. It was so nice to see their precious smiling faces walk in at Cracker Barrel last night. They were super excited to see us which is great b/c there have been times in the past where they would have rather stayed with Mimi. My voice is coming and going now which means I probably have the croup but not really croup b/c my airways are more developed? Someone medically inclined is welcome to correct me on that. I was watching one of Halle's friends this morning and she told me I did not sound very good.....she is 5.
Luke is still calling me Mimi. Halle never did that so it is weird. Although, he does call other caretakers Mommy.
We cleaned our basement and if you have seen our basement you know what that en tells. I cleaned house, ran errands, went to lunch with David and hung out with friends on Saturday while David worked. David and I went to Bull and Bones for lunch on Friday....our fav! I helped host a baby shower for one of my friends on Sunday. It was a lot of fun-we always have fun:)

Halle was Belle this afternoon. She was in her skates outside and let out a huge toot. She smiled and said, "there is a frog in my dress dancing with my dress." Modesty is something we are working on!

I told Halle to go use the bathroom last night. She didn't go immediately and David followed by asking her what I said. She said, "That is easy for you to say Mom & Dad." After she went she got up and said, "Mom, I didn't pee b/c there wasn't any water in there."
Yesterday Halle had just used the bathroom and she and I along with Luke were around the bathroom sink. Halle asked Luke how is poppy was doing. I told her that wasn't really something we asked and she looked at me and asked, "When will Luke's poppy grow?" I told her we don't ask that and she said, "Mom when will Luke's poppy grow? Mom, I just want to know when it will grow!" I am not sure how she knows or why she assumes it does grow. Maybe that is just basic knowledge for a 3.5 year old?!
Halle woke up coughing last night and we are praying Luke doesn't get it as well. Right now he is fine (shoveling down his 2nd bowl of cereal). "Mure Mommy!"
Today I cook for co-op and we are have intentions of heading to Roanoke to the Chiro!

Bam Bam & His Princess
So he can't do 10 but check out his form! We have really gotten a kick out of him dropping to the ground on demand.
Tonight Halle and I went out for some girl time! We went to Wal-Mart and Halle picked out her own pink mum! She was super excited. She also picked out a new book, Green Eggs and Ham. Savannah brought it with her last week and we read it every night so she has been really wanting it. She 1st wanted Dora but then decided she would wait and ask for it for her B-Day and go with Dr. Seuss. We also went to the mall. She lit up like a Christmas tree when she saw Claire's.......and the girly fun begins. She wanted every lip gloss she saw! Her Christmas list is a mile long and it is barely September. She also wants a pink hairbrush because her boring black one just isn't cutting it. Man oh man. We went in a clothing store and she said, "I just dont like these Mommy stores." I am beginning (emphasis on beginning) to see how raising girls is a little more difficult.
David took she and Luke on a bike ride yesterday while I was at the Pregnancy Center and they went searching for mums! She now can spot a mum from a mile away. I switched my volunteer day from every other Wednesday to every Thursday. We also just moved the center from downtown C-burg to downtown B-burg. We are now across from Planned Parenthood. Please pray for the center. Being really close to campus will be a huge change for the center.
Tomorrow is the 1st home VT game so David will be working. Go Hokies!

Wishful Thinking
"Mom, I really want a sister and Savannah really wants a brother. If we bring home Caroline and Savannah takes home Luke then I will have sister and she will have a brother."

Suprising, I know....
I never really thought blogging was for me/us but I figured I would give it a try since we are so far away from ALL of our family. It is not like everyone I know is being forced to read what I ramble. But, I thought it would be a nice way to journal what we are doing and what the kids are doing so that our family can read and keep up without talking to us. I assure you Halle will provide plenty of blogs!
Well, here we go!!
Last weekend I ran my 1st Charlottesville 4miler with Kathryn, my sister-in-law. I was pleased with my time and pleased to be DONE running for a while. We are back in C-burg. The weather has been cool so have been outside a lot enjoying the weather. We somehow manage to stay super busy without really being involved in much. David just says I am "a social butterfly" these days. Funny, b/c I am really a homebody.
Luke is doing push-ups, banging his head, jumping, jumping, and running. Halle, well Halle is full of herself as always. Still playing with Emmy & Alice (her imaginary friends that are still around) and still playing with her little people. She is all of a sudden picking up on the little Spanish Dora teaches by telling Luke, "Vamanos Amigos" except not that clear. She saw Mary, yes Mary & Joseph Mary, at Lowes yesterday (a Muslim women with her head covered). Halle also started Awanas last week with her friends Grace and Emma. We are excited for her to have that mid-week church activity. We arent sure if or what activity we are going to do with her this year. She says ballet but we will see.
Some of you may have heard this but a few weeks ago Luke was crying and she said, "Luke, people are dying everywhere and your arent dying."
This weekend is VT's 1st home game so here we go football season. David is playing Fantasy Football for the 1st time and is really excited.
