Levi had an adhesion on his poppi(aka his man part) that he had to have fixed yesterday.  He was given a sedative beforehand, which it was quiet comical seeing a "drunk" 2 year old.  He was only given gas for sedation and didn't need an I.V. or need general anesthesia.  We were so thankful!  The procedure only took 10 minutes.  We were back in the car by 9:45 and headed to Chick-fil-a for a biscuit.  He was super cranky when he came from recovery, but was his old self by the time we were in the car.

I was totally blessed with an overwhelming sense of peace yesterday and Tuesday.  I do not handle medical situations well and would normally be stressing if he was dealing with a hangnail.

I will be 38 weeks on Sunday and we are starting to get use to the idea of having another baby in the house.  David has been staying up later and sleeping in a little later all in preparation for what's to come.......that's what he says at least!  He is an amazing father and I can not imagine life without him.  He has been known to go to work while I am in labor or in the hospital, but he also stays home in the morning for weeks until we are adjusted.  He lets me sleep a few hours before he comes to bed in the evenings, which is always nice.

We can not believe we are on our 4th go round of this baby stuff!  There are times it doesn't feel like we are about to have 4 precious babies, especially when we think of each one of them individually.  They each are their own and although we love them differently we love them all the same.  In the midst of chaos we are quickly reminded our house is full....about to be fuller!  And then there is our grocery bill.  Oh my!  3 boys.  We could probably pay for 2 weddings with what we will pay for in groceries over the next 18 years!

I am trying to live in a state of gratitude rather than a state of fear.  I call myself a believer in Jesus Christ, therefore I have to live in constant pursuit of Him...believing in his sovereignty, goodness, love, and his plan for his creation.  Trusting I DO NOT know, and will never know all that I want to know to make sense of this mess.

35 Weeks & Counting!

As of yesterday, I am 35 weeks pregnant.  It is September.  The end of September.  3 months until 2013.  Really?

Sometimes it is sad how fast time goes.

Sometimes it brings me peace knowing the faster time goes, the sooner we will be with our Savior in Heaven.  No longer in this world that is accompanied by heartache, loss, and disappointment.

Yesterday we learned of the death of a friend.  She was a cancer survivor, and had just given birth a week prior to her 4th child.  She died from a blood clot.  We are so heartbroken for her family.

After a day like yesterday, your perspective changes.  The way you look at your husband and your children is different than the minute before you heard the news.  We work so hard to keep an eternal perspective, stay focused on what's above.  We know we have to work our faith muscle in order to say we have faith.

Life on earth is hard, painful at times.  We know a storm is coming.  We aren't sure when it will hit.  We aren't given our raincoat and umbrella until right before the rain hits our head.  God is very clear about that.  Our grace is promised, but we are not given grace today for next week's problems.  Manna comes on a per needed basis.  If we had a 'tap' to grace we were in control of, where would our faith come in?

Children expose a part of your heart you do not know exist until they are born.  Then, you understand the true meaning of worry.  But, there is also the joy.  A small glimpse of heaven.  If I love my children this much, the love our Father has for us is truly beyond my understanding.  We are not meant to fully understand Him.  We are only called to be in constant pursuit of Him.  Learning more of his character, who he is, that we are created in his image, only makes me trust Him more.

I am so thankful for my Savior.  My Heavenly Father.  I am blessed beyond what I deserve.

Fall, Really?

The leaves haven't even started to change colors, but we have enough in our yard for the kids to play in.....kinda.

Saturday, Luke diligently raked the leaves in our front yard for them to "jump in".  They would rake up a small pile and then throw them in the air....over and over again!

Priceless.  The little moments are what make it all worth it.

Sick Boys=Girl Time!!

Levi and Luke were fighting a virus this weekend so Halle and I headed to Sweet Frog for some chocolate therapy!

So far, everyone is on the mend.  I am hoping we are getting our fall bugs out of the way before the baby gets here.......the baby we are due to have in 6 weeks that still does not have a name.

With the other 3 I came into the pregnancy with a list, a short list, of names that I already loved.  This time we did not have a list.  We now have a list, but we are not sold on any one name.  We may not know until he gets here!  I know that drives the parents cRaZy!  Sorry mom:)
