Proverbs 16:9

Can you tell what these picture have in common?

A man's heart plans his way,
But the Lord directs his steps.
    Proverbs 16:9

Our plans were made.
3 was good for now.
Oops?
To us, yes.  To God, no.

Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord,
The fruit of the womb is a reward.
Like arrows in the hand of a warrior,
So are the children of one's youth.
Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them;
They shall not be ashamed,
But shall speak with their enemies in the gate.
   Psalms 127:3-5

Lately

Halle has been all about drawing faces these days.
Here is a picture she drew that I couldn't help but share!  I was so impressed!

Soccer started back up a few weeks ago.
Halle is playing with girls ranging from 6-8 years old.  She may even be the youngest on her team.  She isn't the most talented, but she has been playing with courage and heart!  She volunteers to go in during her games and doesn't seem to be intimidated by the older girls.

Both of the kids have buddies on their team this year and their games are both on Saturday.

Here are the kids with their friends eating lunch after Luke's game.  It is really nice being able to fellowship on Saturday mornings.

David's spring project this year is a storage shed.
Here he only has the foundation and floor joist finished.

Luke is his daily helper!  When it is time to work, Luke puts on his work apron and grabs his tool box!

Balloons To Heaven

Bill's (David's dad) birthday was on March 8th.  After telling the kids, Halle decided she wanted to send him some balloons in heaven.

She wrote him a birthday message on the balloon.

Luke also had a balloon for him, but he was in the house crying because he didn't want to let his go.  Poor Bud.

To have the spirit of a 6 year old!

Halle and David watched until they could no longer see the balloons.

During the winter, Halle sits at our table for hours coloring and drawing.  We call it "Halle's craft corner".  Once it is warm enough, she then spends those hours she once spent coloring, swinging.

She couldn't find her soccer ball before soccer on Wednesday and she didn't want to use Luke's ball.  She started to fuss at me for not looking for hers.  I told her she could of been looking for it when she was swinging.  She said, "Every time I go outside that swing just makes me want to swing."

Sweet Luke is always so eager to help David or I in the
yard with yard work.  He runs and gets his Diego gloves as soon as he sees there's work to be done!

Valentine's Day

We typically do NOT do Valentine's Day.  I made a simple suggestion to David for he and Luke to do something for Halle and me.  Not because I wanted flowers, but because I wanted David to use it as an opportunity to show Luke an example of what women want!  I also think it is extremely important for Halle to know and feel like she is David's princess.

I was very impressed with what he busted out at the last minute....with the exception of my KITCHEN AID MIXER!  I have been asking for one for YEARS and I am so thankful to finally have one!

The dinner and flowers were an added bonus!  Halle and I came to the dinner table with dinner served!

David can be very creative and thoughtful when he puts his mind to it:)

Here is sweet Halle being loved by her sweet Daddy:)
